Learn The Game©

LEARN THE GAME© is a professional development conference for high school counselors, athletic directors, and anyone responsible for the academic guidance of student athletes. Since 2015, the LTG conference has focused on providing attendees with the latest comprehensive overview of the eligibility process of collegiate athletics. This conference offers an excellent opportunity to network with other counselors and speak with college eligibility officers. The conference is formatted into two sessions, Eligibility Lectures and Workshops.

Eligibility Lectures

The eligibility lectures consist of keynote presenters who address some of the most challenging topics facing counselors regarding preparing student athletes for college sports eligibility. Some of the topics include “Calculating GPA for NCAA,” “How to work with your student athletes,” and “How to work the NCAA’s Eligibility Center.” The presenters are representatives from the NCAA/NAIA and compliance officers from colleges and universities.

Workshops

Our workshops are organized to provide in-depth coverage of a particular subject. Workshops are designed to be educational and engaging and are taught by presenters knowledgeable about topics that include the following:

  • Make sure your core, nontraditional, and online courses are NCAA approved
  • How to work with your student athletes
  • NCAA Division I Athletics
  • NCAA Division II Athletics
  • NCAA Division III Athletics
  • NAIA Athletics
  • Community College Athletics
