Play In College is a small-scale presentation designed to educate teams about the advantages and opportunities of playing sports in college. The goal of the presentation is to show student athletes that college athletics is a growth experience that can result in higher self-esteem and greater success. The presentation will highlight the benefits of leadership, teamwork, competition, confidence, and other competencies that a person needs to be successful. It is no secret that many employers prefer to hire student athletes because they have a proven track record of displaying characteristics that are beneficial to a team.

Friendships and Opportunities

The presentation will explore the benefits of developing college friendships and how they can turn into lifelong relationships. Playing sports in college also gives student-athletes the opportunity to travel, meet, and compete against players from across the country. The presentation will actively engage students in discussions about topics such as the following:

  • What to do when not being recruited
  • Factors to consider when evaluating schools
  • How to identify people who can help you
